I am excited and honored to serve on the ECS team! My love for teaching little ones began in Bellevue more than 25 years ago, and I have served in children’s ministry ever since! I have enjoyed teaching Sunday school, leading VBS, homeschooling my children, serving as a children’s ministry director, teaching preschool and kindergarten, and most recently serving as a preschool director.

I feel blessed to work in a Christian school where I can encourage families of young children in their faith and to trust the Lord in raising their children.  As a mother of three grown children and a teenager, I have always drawn strength from the verse, “Apart from me, you can do nothing,” John 15:5.  When we abide in Him, we bear much fruit.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking with my husband, Steven, and family (including my chocolate lab), gardening, watching my boys play soccer, drinking coffee, and reading historical fiction.

I moved to Bellevue in August 2013 from Southern California. My husband, two daughters, and I attend the Community Church of Seattle. I’ve taught little children at my church since I was in college and also taught three years in an elementary school. I am very blessed to be called to be here at Eastside Christian School. My favorite activities are fellowshipping with my church friends, hiking with my family, and doing art with my children.

I grew up in small, northern Michigan town.  I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education, with minor in Creative Movement and Dance.  I complete 10 hours of STARS training every year, am First-Aid and CPR Certified, and certified as a Kids Yoga instructor too!

In 2013, after my husband and I were married, we took a big leap of faith, and moved to the Seattle area. Where God guides, he provides.

I really enjoy traveling, volunteering, yoga, backpacking and trying new foods and restaurants.  I especially love being outdoors in nature.

I feel very blessed to be part of the ECS family.

The Pacific Northwest has been my home for nine years. My husband and I have two teenage daughters and we love living in this beautiful area. I truly enjoy every moment I get to spend in my classroom with my students learning about our Savior and our world! When I’m not teaching I enjoy traveling with my family, reading, cooking and walking our mini dachshund. One of my passions is serving on the Missions team at Faith Church.

I am so blessed to be part of the ECS community! I have been a part of the ECS family for the past 8 years – as a parent and then as a Preschool Aide. This is my first year as a Lead Teacher and I am so thrilled to be pursuing my passion as a teacher! My husband and I have two children, both attend ECS. During my free time I enjoy walking my dog, spending time with my family and serving my church as a Sunday School Teacher.

I am new to the Eastside Christian Preschool Family and very grateful to work with these amazing teachers, staff and students. I have been in education for twenty-nine years; 17 years of educating preschoolers and the other spent working in special education in the public schools. I am jumping for joy to have the opportunity to combine both education and faith!

Education has been my passion and field of study my entire adult life. I am a forever student who loves learning. It is my goal to instill a genuine love of learning in my students, while we share fun hands-on opportunities to discover, explore, and learn. In my classroom we will sing, dance and share in the glory of God’s great many blessings in our lives. I understand that children are the greatest treasures in life and want to partner with parents to keep their children’s best interest at heart in all aspects of preschool academics, faith, and their social emotional development.

As a mother of four, 3 young men and a beautiful young lady, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren. In my free time I expand my creative heart when cooking, reading, preparing projects for my students, crafting and holidays. Living in the beautiful PNW, I spend a lot of time at the beach, rivers, and lakes. Being outdoors amongst nature is very peaceful to me. I enjoy hiking, nature walks and glamping!
