Eastside Christian School’s middle school program (for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades) combines rigorous academics with a nurturing, Christ-centered community. Mature Christian educators guide students to sharpen their minds, shape their identities, and deepen their relationships with God and one another.

At ECS, a K-8 education offers several advantages for middle school students:

Robust Academics: The program provides a rigorous, collaborative academic environment where students engage in active and applicable learning. Skills like critical thinking, analysis, and collaboration are cultivated, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future studies.

We are dedicated to teaching to the whole child. With small class sizes and personalized, high-level instruction, our students excel on standardized tests and transition seamlessly into any high school program. Academically, we offer:

  • Instruction rooted in a Biblical worldview
  • Opportunities for advanced math (including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, and Geometry)
  • Challenge programs and academic competitions
  • One-to-one (1:1) computer program utilizing personal laptops and the Microsoft suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and Teams)
  • Diverse electives, including:
    • Performing & Visual Arts
    • Career & Leadership Skills
    • Computer Technology
    • Literary Arts & Publication
    • Health & Fitness
    • World Languages

Integration of Faith and Learning: Our teachers incorporate biblical principles across all subjects. Students learn how academics like math, science, and history fit into God’s larger story, providing a holistic and purpose-driven educational experience.

Identity Formation and Spiritual Growth: At ECS, we help students discover and embrace their God-given identity. Through dedicated Bible classes, SOAR groups, and integrated faith-based learning across all subjects, students develop a solid foundation in their faith and personal identity that prepares them to thrive in high school.

Leadership Opportunities: At ECS, Middle School students are not “stuck in the middle” between their elementary and high school years but instead take on significant leadership roles within the student body. They lead activities, mentor younger students through programs like ACTS, practice guiding others and demonstrate service-oriented leadership, which builds confidence and responsibility.
