Eastside Christian is committed to providing a Christ centered environment for your son or daughter, equipping them as servant leaders in His kingdom. Middle school athletics is an excellent vehicle for the development of individual skills, teamwork, leadership, and competition.

Program Overview

At Eastside Christian School, our middle school athletics program provides students with opportunities to build skill, confidence, teamwork, and Christlike character. Students in grades 5–8 may participate in a variety of no-cut sports offered across fall, winter, and spring seasons. Our coaches and volunteers aim to create an encouraging environment where athletes can grow, compete, and represent ECS with integrity.

Eligibility & Participation Policies

Student-athletes at ECS are expected to demonstrate responsibility, academic effort, and Christlike conduct both in and out of the classroom. To participate in middle school sports:

  • Students must maintain strong academic standing. If a student is not meeting classroom expectations or is significantly behind in coursework, temporary ineligibility may apply until progress is made.
  • Students must attend school on the day of a practice or game in order to participate.
  • Athletes and families are asked to model respectful sportsmanship at all times—toward teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials.
  • Regular attendance at practices and competitions is expected so that each team may grow together.

These expectations help ensure that ECS athletes represent our school and our Savior well during every season.

Where We Practice & Play

Volleyball & Basketball
Our teams practice and compete in the ECS gym—an excellent facility featuring nearby parking, full-size court space, accessible restrooms, and plenty of seating for families and fans.

Cross Country
Practices and home meets are held at the beautiful park located directly across from our campus, giving runners safe terrain, open fields, and forested paths for training.

Track & Field
Track & Field practices and meets take place at various partner middle school tracks throughout the local area, depending on the Cascade Middle School League schedule.

Golf & Tennis
Golf and tennis practices are held at a nearby public park, providing excellent outdoor venues that allow students to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Practice and Game Frequency

While practice and game schedules vary by sport and season, middle school athletes can typically expect 2–3 practices per week and 1–2 competitions per week, depending on league matchups and facility availability. Practice commitments are designed to balance athletic growth with academic success and family life.

Come Cheer on Our Eagles!

We invite you to cheer on our Eastside Christian Eagles at an upcoming sporting event!  We love welcoming families, classmates, and friends to our games and meets. Your encouragement makes a meaningful difference to our athletes as they compete with heart and honor. Our hope is that you will see our tremendous young men and women glorifying God in the way that they carry themselves both on and off the court.

Committed to character and competition,
Daniel Ha
