The Lord has blessed me with a passion for early childhood education, focusing primarily on preschoolers.  My own children are now in their twenties, and my husband and I are enjoying life as empty nesters.  Fellowshipping with family and friends, spending time with my granddaughter, and going on long walks are some of my favorite activities.

When I am not teaching I enjoy hiking, riding a bike (I don’t have one yet), cooking, shopping, and lately, a little dancing!

I moved to Bellevue in August 2013 from Southern California. My husband, two daughters, and I attend the Community Church of Seattle. I’ve taught little children at my church since I was in college and also taught three years in an elementary school. I am very blessed to be called to be here at Eastside Christian School. My favorite activities are fellowshipping with my church friends, hiking with my family, and doing art with my children.

I am excited and honored to join the ECS team! My love for teaching little ones began in Bellevue more than 25 years ago, and I have served in children’s ministry ever since!  I have enjoyed teaching Sunday school, leading VBS, homeschooling my children, serving as a children’s ministry director, teaching preschool and kindergarten, and most recently serving as a preschool director. I’ve been married to Steven for 25 years, and we are blessed with three grown children and one in middle school. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking with my family (including my chocolate lab), gardening, watching my boys play soccer, drinking coffee, and reading historical fiction.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we moved to Washington last summer from Coral Springs, Florida. I have been teaching for eight years, and my favorite part of each and every school day is teaching my students about Jesus and His Word. I am so excited to be part of the Eastside Christian School family and to settle in here in Washington. When I am not teaching, I love to workout, be outside, do Zumba, read, and spend quality time with family and friends.
